Alien Queen character design
This character is queen in this story. With her formidable figure, she holds the mantle of leadership with unyielding strength and wisdom. Her masjestic silhouette inspired by trilobite beetles is a testament to the rigidity and power that defines her rule. The choice of fabrics mirror the complexity of her role. Opaque materials shroud her in a veil of mystery, protecting her elusive nature. While transparent fabrics speak to the transparency required in her decisions. The regal drapes not only symbolize her authority but also the wealth of wisdom and age she carries.. Every fold and every controur of her garment tells a story of leadership, power and the weight of decisions made for the survival of her people.
This outfit is part of a 6-outfit digital fashion and character design collection, combining technical expertise in digital fashion with an my passion for video gaming, combined into a playable game experience made in Unreal Engine 5.
This project explores the symbiosis between fashion design and video game garments, demonstrating how precision in patterning and traditional construction techniques enhances the realism of character attire.
First draft of the shell-shape. Ended up being too flat and not protective enough.
New shell shape, held up by boning (like in corsets) to add structure to this gravity-defying shape.
Her shoulders protrude through the dress, space for this was neccessary in the garment design.
